Overview

BIX CTCablePro is a Revit automation application that creates conduit-based representations of electrical cables along Cable Trays. It automates cable modelling, shared parameter population and cable schedule generation — taking you from selected cable trays to a fully documented, coordination-ready cable model in a single guided workflow.

Key Features

  • Multi cable-tray selectionCreate cables along one or many Cable Trays in a single run.
  • Full parameter controlSet conduit type, lay direction, level, diameter, number of cables, clear spacing and tray edge inset.
  • Automatic validationAll inputs are validated for completeness and correctness before processing.
  • Schedules & BOQAutomatically populates shared parameters and cable schedules for quantities and coordination.

How it works

  • 01 Select Cable Trays
  • 02 Select Conduit Type
  • 03 Select Cable Lay Direction
  • 04 Select Level
  • 05 Enter Cable Diameter
  • 06 Enter Number of Cables
  • 07 Enter Clear Spacing
  • 08 Enter Cable Tray Edge Inset
  • 09 Validate
  • 10 Create Conduit Cable Representations
  • 11 Update Shared Parameters
  • 12 Populate Cable Schedules

Shared Parameters Created

ADI_Cable_Host_CTText — Cable Trays, Cable Tray Fittings, Conduits & Fittings
ADI_Cable_Run_IdentifierText — Conduits and Conduit Fittings
ADI_Elec_Cable_DiaLength — Conduits and Conduit Fittings
ADI_Elec_Cable_LengthLength — Conduits and Conduit Fittings
ADI_Elec_Cable_MaterialText (Type) — Conduits and Conduit Fittings
Required Shared Parameters, Filters, Schedules and Conduit Types must exist in the project before running Create Multi Cables.
